-in july he was in the studio doing tracks for Coppermine with veteran producer Ron St Germain .
this name might sound familiar from Tool, Soundgarden, 311, ...Mcoy Tyner, Ornette Coleman ...mmhhmm.
-july1-14 and august 5-12 andrew will be on faculty at "national guitar workshop" this summer. he'll be teaching master classes, private lessons and ensembles, ...all aspects of drumming and music, ...fun!
-we've moved!! ...into an amazing 5500 square foot space!
i'm neck deep in building the studio but have already done drum sessions, ...sounds great!!
the place is big enough for dance rehersals/performances, private parties, ...soccer games,...with 2 private roofdecks it is just a dream!
wow! ...unfreakin believable!
-in december, in his studio, drumtracks, Andrew recorded more tracks for Drew Young, as well as 4 songs for rock band October.
-also in drumtracks, Andrew recently finished recording percussion on 10 tracks for singer/songwriter Sharon Goldman. Djembe, dumbek, pondero, shakers, tamborines, brushes, mallets, cymbals, kitchen sink, ...but no traditional drum kit on the whole thing! ...hhhmmmm, ...sweet sounds!
-in rocktober, he did drum tracks for rock/drum&bass band Speed of Life at Activesounds studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, ...as well as 2 tracks for rock band Coppermine, ...which are being produced by veteran producer Ron St. Germain (311, Tool, Soundgarden). ...rock!
- back to Chungking in the month of rocktober for more tracks with Feroze, but this time joined by Shachar Gilad on guitar and Ben Zwerin on bass.
- september brought Andrew to Chungking Studios with fashion guru, rockstar, Feroze Alam. That place (Chungking) recorded so many cds that I actually own, it's scary! Check out their site and list of clients... wow!
- in the month of August, Andrew was in Philip Glass's Looking Glass Studio recording with singer/songwriter Drew Young. He was joined by Kevin Kuhn on guitars, Sean Kendell on bass, Glen Tarachow behind the SSL, and Ichiho and Nicole from LGS. Produced by Kuhn, Youngs still untitled new cd should be in stores later this year!
